The best thing I can hope for when I watch something for the first time is to be taken on a ride,
an unexpected ride. We live in a time right now, where literally every single person has a
camera on them 24/7. It can sometimes be a challenge to discover something new. Right from
the top I need to commend the cast and crew of Liberty Speaks, for doing just that, taking me on
an unexpected ride. Liberty Speaks, is a poignant and profound look at the Statue of Liberty,
that most American simple of freedom and liberty, and takes us on a deep dive into what she is
saying and what she represents.

Issa Best does an absolutely wonderful job as Miss Liberty. Their delivery is sharp and
intelligent. A concise mixture of comedy and the dramatic. Films in the heart of Times Square, I
can only imagine how early in the morning they must have arrived to get those shots of an
almost empty Times Square. Beautifully directed by Lucia Bellini. This was a joy to watch and
something I will think about long after I finish watching.
